About Brooke

Brooke has designed a variety of shows and styles in both professional and educational settings, and was the 2020 winner of USITT's Zelma H. Weisfeld award. She is currently Adjunct Faculty in Costume Design and Technolgy at San Diego State University.

She is committed to bringing an attitude of collaboration and community to all of the work she is a part of, and strives to make and support comfortable and uplifting spaces. 

Recent designs include No, No, Nanette, Arizona Lady, and Orpheus in the Underworld at Ohio Light Opera. She was nominated for the 2022 Craig Noel Award for Outstanding Costume Design for The Mystery of Irma Vep with Wig Designer Peter Herman. 

Previously, she has worked at the Santa Fe Opera, San Diego Opera, Central City Opera, and California Lutheran University.

She received her Masters of Fine Arts from San Diego State University in Costume Design & Technology. Her Bachelors of Arts is in Technical Theater and Sociology from California Lutheran University.
